The latest LACON Circular 2025 provides information on all important innovations for organic agriculture. In addition to general obligations such as fertilizer and use agreements, documentation requirements and forms, topics such as digital certificate & digital invoice, requirements for plant reproductive material, open waiting times, animal purchases and changes in poultry farming will be highlighted this year.

In the area of animal husbandry, there will be several new requirements from 2025: stricter approval requirements for the purchase of conventional breeding animals, clear rules on animal intervention, new regulations for quails and ostriches, and expired transition periods for fattened poultry (e.g. perches, stocking density, outlet flaps, barn partitions). The requirements for feeding poultry were also clarified once again.
